Hey little kickers today we have a two for the price of one edition of Screenkicker Meets… First up we spoke to Lord Commander Jeor Mormont from Game of Thrones also known as James Cosmo. James has starred in everything from Braveheart to Sons of Anarchy to Trainspotting. Usually playing a badass with a sword it felt strange that he’s a really lovely guy in real life. Here’s what he had to say:
Next up its the turn of hardworking character actor Ian McNiece. You’ve probably watched him in hundreds of movies and shows without knowing his name. Well you do now! Ian is famous for playing Winston Churchill in Doctor Who, his roles in Valkyrie and From Hell, and my personal favourite Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls. Find out how Ian felt about having Jim Carrey spit in his face!

I’ll be honest I had a few beers so was quite drunk! That really helped but it always makes my accent even harder to understand!

He always plays quite scary guys so when it turned out he’s a lovely man I was shocked. And he didn’t even have a sword with him!

Man you’ve met EVERYBODY! 😉 I love James Cosmo, he’s great in everything. Have you seen this tiny Scottish movie called One More Kiss? It’s got a VERY young Gerry Butler in it [before he became so Hollywoodized], it’s a lovely & heart-wrenching film.
